Guidelines for Preparing the Abstract
Format of the Abstract
- The abstract should act as a compendious summary of the research work.
- It should be structured with the following headings as a single paragraph and one column text:
- Background
- Aim & Objective
- Methods
- Results & Discussions
- Conclusion
- The abstract section of the document must be with a maximum of 500 words.
- Maximum of 5 keywords that best relate the subject matter must be given in lower case letters, separated with commas.
- Please DO NOT INCLUDE subheadings, bullets, lists and header/footer, abbreviations, references in the abstract.
- Abstract title should be short, but descriptive. Informative titles, indicating key points are encouraged. Abbreviations should not be used in the title.
- Always follow SI Units.
- Scientific names must be in Italic.
- There shall be no citations or references in the abstract.
Specifications for Preparing the Abstract Document
Title: Times New Roman, 14 points, centered text
Authors’ Names
- First name followed by the surname / initial(s).
- Times New Roman, 12 points, sentence case, centered text.
- Presenting author name should be listed first and the co-authors’ names (maximum of 4, excluding the presenting author) shall follow.
- The name of the presenting author should be in bold style, underlined and marked with a superscript asterisk.
Authors’ Affiliation(s)
Authors’ affiliations should be indicated with superscript of Arabic numerals appearing at the end of surname / initial(s). Affiliation(s) should be given with the complete address including the country. Multiple affiliations should be denoted by the respective numbers given in the superscript.
Body of the abstract: Times New Roman, 11 points; Line spacing: 1, as a single paragraph and one column text.
NOTE: The abstract not complied with the prescribed format will not be considered for review.
